I was reading a fic halfway at fanfiction.net about the Star Wars episodes being an ongoing holo-semi-reality show to improve public impression of Jedi. Obi-Wan and Anakin were real Jedi who became reluctant stars. Everything that happened in the episodes were actually staged by a producer Lukas & his son. Real politicians like Palpatine and Padme willingly acted in the shows and their appearance fees were donated to their favourite charity. The Phantom Menace was some sort of bacteria that made Obi-Wan sick when they were staging TPM and Qui-Gon was relieved when he was killed off in that episode because he hated acting in the show. There was one part where Mace was a native of Earth which was a specially shielded planet in the Outer Rim where the Sith was expelled to. While visiting his home planet his plane crashed and he was stranded. Obi-Wan & Co. went to Earth to rescue him & were stranded too. Due to some anomaly Earth could receive future transmissions of the show and everyone recognised Obi-Wan as "You Win". Unfortunately I was not able to read the rest of the fic as I couldn't find the story anymore. I think it was a completed fic with over a hundred parts. The section I got to concerning Earth was only half way through. If anyone knows where I could find the rest of the fic, I would like to finish the story as it was very funny and well written.
